Overall, there are only four stars, because the quality is unfortunately not really stable. Priced it is perfectly fine, the wait is also quite short. The season ticket always provides a welcome change.

Service is good. Food is tasty. No specific tables for 2 persons.

Good selection, staff often irritated and sometimes they all sit on the terrace and smoke the guests full of one cigarette after another. The dishes are fresh and tasty, with meat and fish as well as vegetarian and vegan. From soups to desserts everything is offered, at student-friendly prices. You can pay with Thoska and cash there. The only problem: at lunchtime you get there especially in colder months no place. People sit there then partially with laptop, learn and block the tables. That really annoys. Then you have to look for an alternative again, really a pity.

By and large it is a nice place with good food for a small budget. The selection of food and drinks is very good and it is increasingly working with regional products. Unfortunately, the quality of the soups and the portion size of the other dishes vary. Nevertheless highly recommended.

In the "roses" it is usually lively, well attended by students and it tastes great - as it is today.

Eat like kings. The Cafeteria zur Rose or the Rosenmensa has delicious dishes for all tastes, for little money. As it is very popular it is sometimes difficult to get hold of an empty table, but other guests are happy to share the precious commodity "table" with you. The staff is also always very friendly. It's worth a visit.

The restaurant "Zur Rosen" offers an excellent ambience, if you want to eat cheap, but still delicous. You can choose between different dishes, all from the region and of tasty quality. In addition, there are comfortable benches in the restaurant, which invite you to linger over the ample drinks menu.

One of the best places to eat in Jena. Usually I do not recommend going out to eat because of the low quality of restaurant foods in Jena, but I would recommend here, especially if you are a student (even non-Thoska students) for the reduced prices.
